PDF invoicing from Norfolkline

Norfolkline also offer a covenient invoicing solution whereby the customer's invoice is published as a PDF document and emailed to the customer's accounts receivable department rather than being printed and sent by normal mail. The invoice is then processed by the customer in the same way as a paper invoice.

PDF invoicing is especially beneficial to customers that manage their invoices electronically as it saves them having to distribute and scan incoming paper invoices, and of course PDF invoicing is a greener option.

Norfolkline digitally signs it's PDF invoices with an eSignature so that they are compliant with the various fiscal rules across Europe.

eSignatures

An eSignature means legally and in practice, that the invoice document can be electronically verified as authentic, valid and signed/sent by your trusted partner of the invoice communication.

The first time that a customer receives a PDF invoice with Norfolkline's eSignature they should validate Norfolkline's signature and once validated the eSignature for all future invoices from Norfolkline will automatically be recognised. Customers do not have to verify the eSignature but without verification their PDF reader will tell them that the signature validity is unknown.
