Jem & Fix select Norfolkline for warehousing & distribution

As part of a larger contract with the A.P. Moller Maersk Group, Jem & Fix have selected Norfolkline logistics in Denmark for warehousing & distribution of insulation materials. Norfolkline will provide these services from their new warehousing facilities in Taulov.

The new facilities in Taulov were opened on July 1st allowing Norfolkline to expand the range and breadth of services it offers to its Danish customers.

Jem & Fix (part of the Harald Nyborg Group) are a discount retailer of hardware and home supplies in Denmark & Sweden, and have over 60 stores in Denmark alone!

As part of a wider contract that involves other companies in the A.P. Moller Maersk Group (Maersk Line & Damco) 150 High Cube containers of insulating material will be shipped to Denmark from the USA between August and the end of 2009, with Norfolkline being responsible for overseeing the local supply chain from collection in port to value added services - storage, handling and distribution.

30 of the total 150 containers have arrived in Taulov, with the rest expected in a relatively flat delivery profile between now and the end of 2009.
