10,000 Reasons to travel by ferry….

6th August 2009

With the airline industry losing over 10,000 pieces of luggage everyday and millions going missing every year, Diane Poole, General Manager - Passenger at Norfolkline Irish Sea has moved to encourage passengers to consider the benefits of ferry travel. Commenting, Diane said, “People want to enjoy their travel experience as well as their holiday. They don’t want long queues, lengthy check-ins and the worry of lost luggage”.

A point reinforced by the Passenger Shipping Association through research showing that worries about lost luggage and baggage restrictions feature high on the list of things airline passengers hate most.

With airlines enforcing extremely strict regulations on check-in, ID, baggage restrictions and excess baggage charges coupled with long and stressful waits at the baggage carousel, it’s no wonder holiday makers are opting for much more relaxing ferry travel.

Diane Poole of Norfolkline continued, “We want passengers to enjoy their holiday from the very beginning. They have the benefits of competitive pricing, ease at check-in, bars, restaurants, cinema  and en-suite cabins which offer our passengers the with space to relax, safe in the knowledge that they will arrive with all their belongings”.
