Norfolkline Irish Sea looking ahead in 2009

Norfolkline are looking ahead in 2009, Diane Poole, General Manager - Passenger Irish Sea commented “We read and hear every day in the news that the economy is suffering, the travel industry is obviously impacted by this as consumers approach to buying products and services are changing, we need to adapt.”

Mrs Poole added “Our plan is to ensure we focus on the customer, offering the best fares online and doing what we can to make sure they enjoy their sailing and hopefully return to travelling by sea. We have reviewed a few of our products and in order to keep our day sailing at an affordable fare, we will be removing the free lunch and replacing this with a paid buffet lunch, offering special deals for Senior Citizens and children. In order to help our customers we will not be raising our standard brochure fares in 2009. We realise the importance of being able to react to difficult market conditions and to ensure we offer our customers a good service.”

Norfolkline Irish Sea has introduced a number of new additional services for passengers, including a Club Class service, allowing passengers to ‘upgrade’ while onboard. Customers are also now able to select their preferred cabin type when making an online booking at an additional fee. A customer loyalty scheme, Anchor Club is also available to reward regular passengers.
