Norfolkline - part of the DFDS Group

DFDS's acquisition of Norfolkline has been approved by the EU.

DFDS’ acquisition of Norfolkline from AP Møller-Maersk was approved by the EU on Thursday 17 June. We thus expect that the deal can be finally closed somewhere in mid-July 2010. It is important to note that until that date, DFDS and Norfolkline will remain separate companies, carrying out business as usual and with unchanged customer service.

Naturally, we will provide our customers with detailed information when the new DFDS becomes a reality, hopefully somewhere in mid-July. DFDS’ announcement regarding the EU’s approval is available at www.dfds.com
