Recycling drive at Norfolkline Belfast

Recylcing drive at Norfolkline Belfast

Norfolkline Belfast’s warehouse and office operations have been engaged in a massive recycling drive, led by its manager Jim Warnock.

Long term employee and on site hygienist Norman Graham has made a major contribution to the effort, by massively reducing the amount of waste that had previously ended up in landfill sites.

Norman’s initiative alone has resulted in no less than four tons of cardboard, aluminium, paper and plastic being recycled rather than buried in the ground.

The proceeds from the recycling campaign have benefited local charity Bryson House, which provides care services for needy children and elderly people in Northern Ireland.

The Bryson Charitable Group itself also provides recycling services, runs an Energy Efficiency Advice Centre and a range of education programmes to help young people understand their relationship to the environment.

So not only have Norman and his colleagues saved waste collection costs for Norfolkline and underscored the company’s commitment to lessening the environmental impact of its operations, they have also made a really positive contribution to their local community.
